RULES

Who Can Participate
All ages can participate in the film festival but must have a designated adult as Team Leader (18+). This is a worldwide competition and there are no country restrictions however participants must work in accordance to British time.

The Length
Your completed film must be no longer than five minutes and no shorter than three minutes (including credits and title card).

The Footage
The film must be filmed within the 48hr film festival. You cannot use footage from an earlier date unless it is stock footage (please note that you will have to ensure all stock footage has necessary clearance for the festival - stock heavy films are unlikely to win as we prefer to encourage films filmed completely within the 48 hours).

Language
Films can be submitted in any language. The film must include English subtitles if the film is not in English.

Title Card
Your film must start with five seconds of black followed by five seconds of a title card. The title card must include your team name and the title of the film.

The Brief
Once your team has successfully registered, the Team Leader will receive the official 2Day Film Challenge brief via email on 3 July 2026 at 19:00 BTS.

This email will include:
• The official creative brief
• Required challenge elements
• Submission guidelines
• A private FilmFreeway submission link

Submission

From the moment the brief is released, teams will have 48 hours to write, shoot and edit their film before submitting it via FilmFreeway.
