Terms & Conditions
LAMDA, London Film School and RD Studios 2Day Film Challenge
(LAMDA – London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, London Film School, and RD Studios
are hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Organisers”.)
By entering the LAMDA, London Film School and RD Studios 2Day Film Challenge
(hereinafter referred to as the “Festival”).
Participants agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
Challenge Duration and Film Length
The completed film must be no longer than five minutes and no shorter than three minutes,
including titles and credits.
The film must be written, shot and edited within the official 48 hour period between the Festival
start and end dates as published on the official website.
Festival Brief Compliance
All films must incorporate the required elements outlined in the official Festival brief. Failure to
complying with the brief may result in disqualification.
Title Card
The film must begin with five seconds of black screen, followed by five seconds of a title card
displaying the team name, film title and your given prompt. This is included within the total running time.
Title Card Template - Link
This is a title card template to be added to the beginning of your film. Simply add your Team Name, assigned Line of Dialogue and chosen Prop into the template before including it as the second five-second card in your film.
Copyright
All elements of the film, including but not limited to locations, cast, music and sound effects,
must have fully cleared rights for worldwide, in perpetuity, online use.
Participants confirm they hold all necessary rights and permissions to submit their film.
Submission
Once your team has successfully registered, the Team Leader will receive the official 2Day Film
Challenge brief via email on 3rd July 2026 at 19:00 BST.
This email will include:
• The official creative brief
• Required challenge elements
• Submission guidelines
• Participation Pack
• A private FilmFreeway submission link
From the moment the brief is released, teams will have 48 hours to write, shoot and edit their
film before submitting it via FilmFreeway.
All completed films must be uploaded before the official submission deadline on 5th July 2026 at
19:00 BST.
You must upload your signed Participation Pack alongside your film submission. Failure to do so may result in your film being ineligible for judging.
Please note:
• Films must be created entirely within the official challenge window
• Only registered teams will receive access to the submission portal
• Late submissions may not be accepted
Submitting Your Signed Participation Pack
Sign the Participation Pack PDF we've provided.
Log in to your FilmFreeway account and go to your project page (My Projects → View Project).
Scroll down to the bottom, Files & Attachments section and click Add File.
Name the file "Participation Pack" and upload your signed PDF.
Click Upload to save it to your project.

Language
Films may be submitted in any language. Any film not in English must include English subtitles.
Eligibility
Entrants registering as Team Leader must be aged 18 or over.
Participants under the age of 18 may take part only with prior written consent from a parent or
legal guardian.
Judging and Decisions
All films will be reviewed by a panel of judges appointed by LAMDA, London Film School and
RD Studios.
The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence or appeals will be entered into.
Disqualification
LAMDA, London Film School and RD Studios reserve the right to disqualify any entry that:
● Does not comply with the Festival brief
● Breaches these terms and conditions
● Contains unlawful, offensive or inappropriate material
● Is submitted after the stated deadline
Responsibility and Indemnity
Participants are solely responsible for all aspects of their film, including cast, crew, equipment,
locations and production.
Participants must secure all necessary permissions, licences and releases.
Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless LAMDA, London Film School and RD Studios
from any claims, damages, costs or liabilities arising from their participation or submitted work.
All costs incurred during production are the responsibility of the participants.
Cancellation or Changes by Organisers
LAMDA, London Film School and RD Studios reserve the right to cancel, postpone or amend
the Festival at any time due to circumstances beyond their control.
The Organisers shall not be held liable for any costs or expenses incurred by participants in
connection with the Festival.
Rights and Usage
Participants retain ownership of their film.
By entering, participants grant LAMDA, London Film School and RD Studios a non exclusive,
worldwide, royalty free, perpetual licence to screen, exhibit, promote and distribute the film, in
whole or in part, across all media including live events, digital platforms and promotional
materials.
Registrations are managed by RD Studios. LAMDA do not collect or process personal data submitted via the competition website
Legal and Safety Compliance
Participants must ensure all filming is conducted legally and safely.
All relevant laws and regulations must be followed, including those relating to filming in public
spaces and the use of props such as weapons, uniforms or vehicles.
Prizes and Travel
Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered unless otherwise stated.
International participants are welcome; however, travel and accommodation costs for attending any in person events are not covered by the Organisers.
Notwithstanding any other provision of these Terms and Conditions, the Third Prize (being a
place on a London Film School workshop) shall apply only to standard London Film School
workshops and shall expressly exclude any Summer School programmes.
Event Filming and Photography
By attending Festival events, including the final gala, participants consent to being
photographed, filmed and recorded.
LAMDA, London Film School and RD Studios may use this content for promotional, marketing
and documentation purposes.
File Delivery Requirements (Shortlisted Films)
Shortlisted participants may be required to provide their film in a specified format (for example
MP4, with defined resolution and file size requirements) for screening purposes.
Failure to provide the required format within the given timeframe may result in disqualification
from the final screening.
Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner.
Harassment, discrimination or disruptive behaviour towards participants, organisers, judges or
partners will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
Participants agree to uphold principles of inclusivity, diversity and mutual respect.
Updates and Amendments
Participants are responsible for reviewing these terms and any updates published by LAMDA,
London Film School and RD Studios.
The Organisers reserve the right to amend these terms at any time.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or
the Festival shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and
Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Acceptance
By entering the Festival, participants confirm that they have read, understood and agree to
these terms and conditions.
